The computer for curious
kids
Kale follows your child’s interests, connecting their questions to answers and hands-on activities that make learning feel like play.
PreorderFor the “what if?” and
the “look what I made!”
One question becomes an adventure. A doodle becomes a whole new world.
Kale makes room for all the places a curious mind can go.
New questions picked for you every day
Open Kale to find fresh questions chosen around what catches your kid’s eye. There’s no curriculum to finish—just a place to begin.

How many colors are in a rainbow?

Why are leaves green?

When did the Olympics start?
New questions picked for you every day
The homepage offers a fresh mix of questions across nature, history, art, and whatever else might catch their eye. Each card is an invitation to begin, with no rigid menu to work through.
As Kale learns what your kid enjoys, the questions grow more personal. There is always another interesting thread to pull.

Why are leaves green?

How many colors are in a rainbow?

What is the slowest animal?

When did the Olympics start?

What lives at the bottom of the sea?

How were the pyramids built?

How do you write a story?

Who invented the light bulb?
One question leads to another
Tap a card to open its chat thread. Kale answers in small steps, with pictures and ideas that make it easy to ask the next question.
Kids can follow a topic as far as they like, or ask something entirely their own by voice, camera, or typing. Their curiosity sets the direction.
A card opens a chat thread where answers, pictures, and follow-up questions help them keep exploring. They can ask anything of their own, too.
Which animal is the fastest?
On land, it’s the cheetah! It can run about 70 miles an hour.

That’s as fast as a car on the highway.
Questions spark creations
Drawing, photos, music, and hands-on activities turn new ideas into things kids can make at their own pace.

What they make is theirs to keep
Their Desk holds drawings, photos, and discoveries together, ready to revisit or share with family and friends.
Kale handles the goodbye
Choose a session length for your family. Kale gives a gentle heads-up, saves their work, and wraps up so you don’t have to take the screen away.
Purpose-built hardware
for kids 6+ years old
We built Kale to give kids a protected space to explore and create, away from endless feeds and doomscrolling, so parents can feel confident their screen time is intentional.
A protected space to create, with screen time that feels intentional.
A big idea deserves a good pen
A sketch, a note, a wonderfully weird idea: the pen gives kids a way to get it out of their head and onto the screen. Its grippy shape feels at home in smaller hands.
When the session is done, the pen tucks inside Kale’s barrel with a twist of the cap. It has a home right in the computer, ready for whatever comes next.

A few good
questions
What is Kale?
Kale is a computer made for curious kids. It brings together voice-based questions, an evolving Explore library, creative tools in Play, and a personal Desk for the things they make.
What can kids do in the beta?
The beta brings together drawing, a camera with filters and stickers, instruments to play, and Rubik’s Cube puzzles. Kids can ask questions out loud, learn about things in front of them, and explore subjects through activities, images, sounds, and videos. Instruments are for playing; music recording isn’t part of the beta.
How do sessions work?
You decide how long sessions last in the parent app. Kale handles the reminders and helps your child wrap up when time is up, so you don’t have to police the clock.
What’s in the parent app?
Use natural language to manage settings, sessions, and family profiles. The question jar brings you questions that aren’t appropriate for AI to answer, and activity recommendations suggest new things to try together.
What does being in the beta mean?
Kale is still taking shape. The beta is a chance to try the experience and help us improve it. It includes usage telemetry to help the team understand what works and what needs attention. We’ll share the details with participating families before they begin.
