Hi, I'm Matt Langford.

My favorite moments in teaching are when something clicks. A passage that seemed strange, a word we’ve heard a hundred times without really understanding it, a story that felt too far removed from our own.

I enjoy working through those things and finding a way to make them feel familiar. A connection to everyday life. An example that makes sense. Enough room to ask the question you thought you were supposed to know the answer to. I want people to understand what they’re reading and recognize why it matters.

I’m married to Kalena, and we have two kids who keep life interesting. I read, write, design and develop. I’m happiest when something complicated becomes a little simpler.
