README.mdabout

I'm Om, a backend engineer in India. I build tools that show you what your computer is doing and let you switch off what you didn't ask for.

RemoveMacAI turns off Apple Intelligence and deletes its on-device models. It reached #1 on Hacker News. bodycam records what AI coding agents do on a Mac, using Apple's own eslogger.

I also fix bugs in open source. I've had 73 pull requests merged across 30 projects, mostly in Go. Right now I'm the founding engineer at Ensueno. Before that I ran the infrastructure for client sites at Marketing Mojito. I studied computer science at VIT Pune and graduated in 2026.

  1. 1

    Switch it off

    Managed settings go into a configuration profile, so macOS enforces them itself.

    <key>allowWritingTools</key>
    <false/>
    <key>allowGenmoji</key>
    <false/>
  2. 2

    Delete the models

    The models are removed through Apple's own asset service over XPC, which frees about 12 GB.

    $ removemacai off
  3. 3

    Put it back

    One command undoes all of it.

    $ removemacai revert

It ships through Homebrew, and releases are built and attested on GitHub Actions.

bodycam

bodycam

A recorder for AI coding agents on macOS. Run an agent through it and you get every command it ran, every file it changed, the secrets it read and the servers it connected to.

56

I asked Claude Code to fix one failing test. bodycam counted 56 commands to change one file, and the .env file was read 6 times.

$ brew install omlahore/tap/bodycam
