Orbit 0.3.1 · v0.3.1

Orbit 0.3.1 adds MCP support to the production app and fixes app quit behavior during updates, so restarts complete more reliably.

A few questions.

What does Orbit do?

Orbit helps you pick up where you left off. Keep each project’s tasks, notes, documents, files, and links together, alongside references to its repositories, so you can find the context for your next step.

Does it replace my editor?

No. Open project folders in your existing editor or terminal. Orbit keeps track of the project; your code stays in its original folders.

Can a project have more than one repository?

Yes. Link related repositories to one project, with shared tasks, notes, files, and links. Your source folders stay where they are.

Where is my data stored?

On your computer. Connected repository and AI services only receive what those features use.

Do I need to use AI?

No. AI features are optional. You can organise projects, manage tasks, and keep notes without connecting an AI service.

What’s included in Free?

Up to 3 projects and all core features.

Does Orbit work on my Mac?

Orbit has installers for both Apple silicon and Intel Macs. Choose the one that matches your processor on the download page.

Will Orbit be available on Windows and Linux?

Yes. Windows and Linux support is coming soon. Orbit is currently available for Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
