An interactive example. Changes stay on this page.
Published content stays in your repository. Your framework and build process stay in place.
Update a guide, edit supported documentation components, and change page titles and properties in the visual editor. Keep the Markdown and MDX files your website already uses.
Format text, build tables, and work with supported Markdown and MDX blocks directly in the document.
Edit titles, dates, images, and other supported frontmatter fields alongside your writing.
Switch to the full Markdown or MDX source for custom components and more detailed changes.
Supported blocks vary by content collection. Custom components and unsupported expressions stay editable in source.
Prosefly gives content teams a visual editing workflow while developers keep the repository, framework, and publishing process in place.
Writers and developers can improve product guides, API references, and help content together.
Keep documentation in the repository while making everyday edits accessible to the whole team.
Deliver a site template that clients can update without changing its structure or build setup.
Edit blogs, case studies, and product content while keeping review and publication connected to Git.
Manage a Markdown or MDX site visually without giving up the tools and workflow you already use.
Bring product, support, and engineering into the same draft. See each other’s cursors and edits, without passing text to a developer to copy into the docs.
Write and revise together, with everyone working in the same visual document.
Visual edits and property changes are saved to the shared draft while you work.
Administrators connect the repository and configure publishing. Your teammates can focus on the content.
Let your team work on drafts without creating Git commits. When the content is ready, review the file changes and publish through your configured GitHub workflow.
Update the content and save your work. Drafts stay in Prosefly until you publish.
Check the content files and any supported navigation changes together.
Create a commit or pull request through the configured publishing workflow. Your existing build process takes it from there.

Connect GitHub and let Prosefly read your supported framework configuration. It discovers content collections, fields, and editor profiles, so you do not have to define them twice. Confirm the results and start editing your existing files, with your framework and build process in place.

Read existing Content Collections and supported schemas. Keep the same content directories and Astro build.
Recognize docsLoader, docsSchema, and supported native sidebar configuration, then edit guides and components.
Read existing document definitions and supported schemas, then edit MDX and native meta.json page lists.
Arrange pages in supported native Starlight, Fumadocs, Lotus, and Dahlia navigation. Review navigation changes with the content.
Explore Content SpacesMaintain JSON and YAML collections such as product catalogs and team profiles. Edit nested fields visually or open the complete source.
Explore the Resource EditorManage articles in configured language directories. Use AI to polish selected text or create a translated draft, then review related changes together.
Explore the editorChoose images, audio, and video from your organization’s shared media library. Reuse their URLs across articles and Content Spaces.
Explore mediaMarkdown, MDX, JSON, and YAML remain ordinary files. Keep editing them with your own tools, even if you stop using Prosefly.
Your repository holds the published content, with its file paths and Git history. Your website uses its existing build process.
Unpublished drafts and collaboration state are saved in Prosefly. Only an explicit publication writes changes to Git.
Media uploaded to the library is hosted separately and referenced by URL. It is not automatically copied into your repository.
Yes. Connect your GitHub repository and confirm the content collections discovered for your Astro, Starlight, Fumadocs, or Hugo site. Prosefly edits supported content files; your framework and build process stay in place. Custom loaders and dynamic configurations may need an explicit collection definition.
Not for supported project configurations. Prosefly reads the framework configuration already in your repository and detects collections and supported fields. Confirm the scan results before importing. For custom content layouts, you can supply an optional .prosefly/config.yaml instead of relying on automatic discovery.
Yes. After editing in GitHub or your code editor, scan the repository and rebuild the index to refresh Prosefly. Changes to Space or collection structure need scan review, and changes that conflict with a saved draft must be resolved before publication.
Visual editing supports the component syntax provided by the collection’s editor profile. Custom components and unsupported expressions remain editable in Source. Prosefly does not execute your repository code.
Published files remain in your repository and can be maintained with your own tools. Your website can continue using those files through its existing build process. Unpublished drafts and media hosted by Prosefly are separate from the repository.
