Finally SWC has Flow support, meaning Babel can be fully replaced in React Native projects. I made a drop-in replacement for metro transform worker. Around 8x faster, so main bottleneck is now metro itself. Reanimated and expo support built-in. Link below 👇

New version of react-native-esbuild out: 🖥 out of tree platforms (macOS/Windows etc) 🪵 device log forwarding & more verbose output ⚡️even faster re/builds (20-30%/6%) 🗜 ~20% smaller bundles with tree-shaking 🪳bug fixes Yallah

Spent my ascension day to finish a drop-in replacement for metro using esbuild. It’s FAST – ~10x for small projects up to 50x for yuge. HT to @Baconbrix and @lord_sherlock for tips along the way. Give it a spin:

Just migrated my first lib github.com/oblador/react-… to the new architecture and more to come. Really excited about the upcoming 0.68 release – the long wait finally is over. Many thanks to @cortinico for support and docs!
