The musl+llvm Diaries, Part One: Introduction

If you’ve spent enough time interacting with the Gentoo community, you’ve probably at least heard of musl or
LLVM. I often see relative newcomers to Gentoo asking things like “Should I use musl?” or “Should I use LLVM?” or
(god forbid) even “Should I use musl+llvm?”. There’s a lot of misinformation about this topic, so I’ve decided to start
a new series of blog posts to better inform people on the topic of using musl, LLVM, or the combination of the two with
Gentoo. It should also serve as a sort of devlog for people interested in the technical elements of making fixes for
these alternative platforms.

about

I am Violet Purcell, also known as vimproved online (or sometimes just vi). I am
currently 19 years old and am studying for a BS in Sound Engineering at the
University of Michigan. Aside from that, I often contribute to open-source
projects (primarily Gentoo).

links

socials

Email

Fediverse

YouTube

forges

Codeberg

GitHub

credits

Hugo theme: hugo-bearblog

Colorscheme: Rosé Pine
