VINS Annual Online Auction
OCTOBER 14 – NOVEMBER 6 – The VINS Annual Auction will raise funds to support our work across the entire organization: our environmental education programs, research, and wildlife rehabilitation efforts. Your participation in the auction helps us reach thousands of children, educators, adult learners and bird patients each year. Whether you’re looking for something special for yourself or a loved one, this is a wonderful way to support VINS and local businesses this holiday season.
Saw-whet Owl Banding Demonstration
OCTOBER 21 – Smaller than a softball, Northern Saw-whet Owls are some of Vermont’s most elusive residents. The VINS Field Research Team invites you to join them for a shift to learn about the banding process and how their work, and that of researchers at hundreds of banding stations around the country, is shedding light on the lives of these secretive birds.
Forest Storytime
OCTOBER 22 – Join an Educator for our early learner’s storytime sessions. We’ll read stories, play games, sing songs, and laugh with puppets. Each session will focus on a different topic to learn about animals, plants, or other wonders of nature. This experience is designed to help promote connection, exploration, curiosity, and joy for the outdoors. (For ages 5 and younger).
