Lambda Commits USD 300,000 in Cloud Compute Credits to FAIR Lab

We are delighted to announce that Lambda, The Super Intelligence Cloud, has made a gift of USD 300,000 in cloud-compute credits to support the Thomson Reuters–Imperial Frontier AI Research Lab.

This generous contribution will help advance the Lab's mission to pioneer trustworthy AI systems through world-class research in foundational machine learning, safety and societal impact. The compute credits will provide our researchers, including incoming PhD students, with essential support to conduct large-scale experiments and accelerate cutting-edge frontier AI research.

Professor Jonathan Schwarz discusses AI safety on Sky News

Jonathan Richard Schwarz, Co-director of the Thomson Reuters- Imperial Frontier AI Research Lab and Visiting Professor at Imperial, was a featured guest on Sky News UK on 10 September 2026.

Jonathan discusses the dangers of AI and concentration of power. This is one of the central themes of our Lab, as we continue to focus on foundational AI research spanning safety, reliability and societal impact.
