Fast and polished screen recording for busy teams. Video shows the work, _agents move it forward.

About us

At Supercut we believe nothing beats video for explaining work. Meetings eat up your day, and nobody reads long documents. The problem is that making a good video usually takes too much time, so most end up rough, underselling the quality of the work behind them. That's why we built Supercut. Supercut is the screen recorder for teams. Record your screen and share a polished video your team, customers, and tools can watch, skim, and act on. And the recording is just the start: it can become the doc, the ticket, the next step.

Updates

  • Six agentic workflows that start with a screen recording: Bug report → Linear ticket Design handoff → dev-ready stories Feature demo → help center article Screen recording → SOP Update video → Slack message Video feedback → actions Each one has the prompt to copy and what to record on our new Recipes section on our website.

  • We shipped 14 new MCP tools last month alone, faster than we can keep up announcing them. The biggest change is that your agent can now download a recording. Either the finished video, or the raw pieces of the original separately: screen, camera, microphone and system audio, a word-level transcript, the cursor path, and when you were typing. From there it can send the file wherever it needs to go next, a shared drive, an editing tool, a client folder. Your agent can also create, update and delete playlists, and add or remove recordings from them, so organizing a library becomes one request. The full list: download-recording, get-recording-assets, download-recording-screen, download-recording-camera, get-microphone-audio, get-system-audio, get-aligned-transcription, get-mouse-events, get-keyboard-events, list-workspace-members, create-playlist, update-playlist, remove-playlist-recording, delete-playlist.

  • Not everyone needs your whole update. Recording it instead of holding the meeting is the point. You go into as much detail as it deserves, and nobody has to sit through it live. The catch is that not all of that detail is relevant to everyone, so some people will not press play. The Slack message is the middle ground. Your agent reads the transcript, writes a bullet per topic in your words, lists the action items with the owners you named, and tags anyone you called out. Each bullet links to the second in the recording where you said it. Everyone reads the part that concerns them, and follows a timestamp into the video when they want the full version.

  • Supercut records your screen and camera as separate tracks. It's one of the things we're proudest of, because it means you can change the layout after you've recorded. Sometimes, though, you'd rather see your camera bubble on screen while you record and have it stay exactly where you put it. You can now burn the camera into the recording, so the video comes out the way it looked live. Separate tracks are still the default. This is for the times you want what you see to be what you get.

Locked into a Loom contract but ready to move? You don't have to wait for renewal. Every month left on your Loom plan is a month of Supercut, free, so you never pay for two tools at once. How it works: 1. Apply with your Loom renewal date and invoice 2. We get your team set up 3. Import your Loom library and move at your own pace Built for annual Loom plans. Details and application in the comments.

  • Your agent can now find a supercut from what you remember about it, not just what you called it. search-recordings is live on the Supercut MCP server, and it reads the AI summary as well as the title. get-recording-analytics shipped alongside it. Ask how a recording did and you get visits, plays and engagement rate.

  • Show your work with a supercut and get feedback on the timeline, on the exact second it's about. Then ask your agent to review every comment and turn them into action items. You keep the ones that matter and it pushes them to Linear or Notion, wherever the work goes next. The recipe, with the copy-paste prompts, in the first comment.

  • 30 seconds. That's how long it took to bring a whole Loom folder into Supercut. Paste the link, hit Import, done. A bigger library keeps importing in the background while you work. If you've been putting off the switch because moving all your videos felt like a hassle, that excuse is gone.
