I've spent most of my career at places like Sky News, Now TV, and Maersk, with detours into energy trading and virtual reality along the way. I once worked around the technical limits of Apple News to get a newsroom to its launch. I've also briefed CPOs and CTOs on delivery progress and risk.
Software with no business impact means nothing. One product I designed and built added 4% to annual recurring revenue.
The less visible part of the job is individuals, one at a time, and then the dynamics between them. When I took over a failing team of nineteen, nobody left in the following year.
I grew up in Brazil, spent a school year in Alaska as an exchange student, and went to Italy and Spain on a scholarship. London has been home for a while now.
