Introduce Yourself
Hello, I’m new here. Been struggling with symptoms for the last 2+ years but looking back I know the symptoms were longer being treated for PSA just started methotrexate and it is kicking the crud out of me live in Ontario so the weather is still warm thank goodness, dreading the winter. I think the thing I’m struggling with the most is living with this accepting it and realizing that my life has been changed, I am major type a overachiever. My career is always been focussed around taking care of clients me being the responsible one. This is definitely changing that I know this feeling from the methotrexate won’t last forever. Trying to remain positive would like to be active again cause I’ve always been a multisport player. I’m 51 years old. Also dealing with perimenopause oh my goodness not feeling very positive right now and I am always a glass half full person I would say my mental health is a big struggle right now.

Medication and Treatments
Hi, new to the community! My dr thinks I have psoriatic arthritis because of my finger swelling. Did any of you get swelling like this? Also been experiencing enthesitis in my Achilles Anyway, I’m considering medication. How long did you wait after symptoms appeared to start taking med? My main issue is that I’m so scared of getting sick/infections. I already get sick easily and feel close to death when I am sick. I also am scared of feeling sick from side effects of the med. I have fibromyalgia / central sensitization and little things feel very large and significant in my body. Many times leading to ER VISITS.
