The screen is your coach. Target speed, time and what’s next, readable from three feet away.
Sound familiar?
You lose count of your reps. Was that the fourth interval or the fifth. Thirty seconds left, or three minutes. Treadmill intervals without a guide are just guesswork.
The big running apps weren't built for treadmills. Strava needs GPS. Nike Run Club needs outdoor routes. Garmin needs a watch. None of them care about your treadmill session.
The alternatives charge $20 a month, every month. Peloton wants their hardware. The coaching apps want a subscription. You just want to run some intervals.
Open. Tune. Run.
The real app, three moments in. No mockups, these are the screens you get.
Open to a plan. Suggestions from your history, one tap from starting.
Tune it. Structure and speeds, set from your pace profile.
Done. Splits, records, Strava-ready text.
23 workouts, no filler.
Every preset has a physiological job: VO2max, threshold, hills, recovery. Work-to-rest ratios a running coach would sign off on, at speeds set from your paces.
Four 4-minute efforts at 90–95% max heart rate, 3-minute active recovery between.
12% incline, 3 mph, 30 minutes. The viral low-impact incline walk.
Eight 800s at race pace with 90-second jog recovery. Speed endurance, straight up.
A sustained 20-minute effort at threshold pace. The gold-standard endurance session.
Ten 1-minute hill charges at 8–12% incline with walking recovery.
Twelve 30-second surges with 30-second jogs between. VO2max, fast.
Calibrated to you.
Tell Kuta your Marathon, Half, Threshold, 10K and 5K paces once. Every workout — preset, custom, or drafted — runs at the right speed for your fitness. No more "what does threshold mean for me?". The app already knows.
Describe a run.
Type what you want: "a fun 45-minute 10K threshold run". The workout builder drafts the full session at your paces, on your phone, in seconds. Nudge it shorter, longer, easier or harder with a tap.
Progress, quietly.
A weekly volume chart, your pace trend, and personal records that announce themselves once. Kuta tracks the things that mean you're getting fitter, without the gamification noise. And your history is yours: export everything as a file, any time.

The app works fully offline. Apple Health sync is there if you want it: opt-in, and write-only. Kuta saves your runs and never reads your health data. From people who run on a treadmill.
"Finally an app that actually works on a treadmill. The big buttons make all the difference."
"I've tried every running app. This is the only one designed for treadmill runners."
Things people ask.
Does Kuta work with any treadmill?
Yes. Kuta doesn't connect to your treadmill at all. Distance is calculated from your pace and time, so it works on any treadmill, anywhere.
Do I need special equipment or sensors?
Just your iPhone. No Bluetooth sensors, no footpods, no extra hardware.
Is there a subscription?
No. Kuta is free to download with 23 preset workouts. Building your own workouts is a one-time $5.99 unlock. No trials, no recurring charges.
Does it work with Apple Watch?
No watch app. Kuta runs on your iPhone, and the summary screen shows your distance so you can calibrate your watch.
Does Kuta talk to Apple Health or Strava?
Kuta can save finished runs to Apple Health, off by default and write-only. For Strava, Kuta generates description text you paste into a manual activity. There's no automatic Strava sync.
Does the workout builder need internet?
No. On iPhones with Apple Intelligence the drafting model runs on device, so no prompt ever leaves your phone. On older iPhones Kuta builds the session with a built-in planner instead, so every phone gets a draft.
