When you two hang out, you're usually the one who picked the place.
You'd rather show you care by doing something than by saying it.
If something your bestie did bothered you, you bring it up the same week.
You could go a month without talking and pick right back up.
You're happy to go along with whatever your bestie suggests.
You've told your bestie straight out that they matter to you.
You'd rather let a small thing slide than start something.
You two talk most days.
You're the one keeping track of the plan — times, tickets, who's bringing what.
A lot of your affection comes out as teasing.
You'll say the uncomfortable thing if it actually needs saying.
You know what your bestie did last weekend.
If nobody decides where to eat, you'll wait it out rather than just call it.
You send the "thinking of you" message without overthinking it.
After an argument your first instinct is to smooth things over.
You need real alone time, even from people you love.

How this friend quiz works
- 🃏Swipe 16 cardsAbout how you actually behave — right for "more like me", left for "not really".
- 🚀Send your linkYour friend swipes their own answers, free.
- 👀Get your pair typeTwo four-letter roles combine into one of 16.
A typical friendship test asks one person trivia — a friend quiz with half the data
missing. Here each of you answers 16 quick cards separately: who
plans, who says the awkward thing, how much space each of you needs. You get a
four-letter role, one of 16. When your friend finishes theirs, the two codes combine
into a pair type. Nothing is stored — your answers never leave your browser, and a
share link carries only the four-letter result, after the #, which
never reaches a server.
What a pair type turns into
Sixteen scenes, five styles. Answer together — this is what the two codes unlock.

Some of the 16 roles this friendship quiz hands out
The four axes
- Lead vs Ease
- Who picks the place, who keeps the plan alive, who just goes along with it.
- Open vs Subtle
- Whether care comes out as words, or as lifts to the airport and relentless teasing.
- Clear vs Patch
- What you do when something's wrong — say it this week, or smooth it over and wait.
- Tight vs Roomy
- How much contact you need before it feels like drifting, and how much before it feels like too much.
Four binary axes give 16 roles. Comparing two roles axis by axis — same or opposite — gives 16 pair types. Same is not better: aligned axes feel effortless, opposite axes are where you cover each other's blind spots.
Friendship quiz FAQ
- Is this friendship quiz free?
- Yes. The quiz, your role, and your pair type are free, with no account needed and nothing stored. There is one optional paid extra — an illustrated card of your result made from your own photos, $1.99 one time.
- How is this different from a normal friendship test?
- A typical friendship test asks one person trivia about the other. This friend quiz measures behaviour instead — who plans, how arguments go, how much space each of you needs — and it takes both answers to get the full result.
- Do we both have to take it?
- You get your own four-letter role the moment you finish. The pair type unlocks when your friend finishes theirs from the link you send. Their half is free too.
- Is this the same as "how well do you know me" questions?
- Related but different. Those are memory questions you read out loud — we keep a big free list of them. This quiz scores behaviour, so nobody wins it by memorising birthdays.
Not sure you want a quiz?
- How well do you know me questions — 50 of them, plain, to ask each other directly.
- Is this friendship toxic? — the harder version of the question.
- Is my friend a narcissist? — what the pattern actually looks like.
