Parking is a repetition skill, and lessons are expensive

Nobody gets a tight parking maneuver right on the third attempt. It takes dozens — enough that the sequence stops being a checklist you recite and becomes something you can see coming. That is an awkward thing to buy by the hour, and an awkward thing to practice in a real parking lot with someone waiting behind you. Here you can reset and go again in two seconds, at two in the morning, for free.

Neither column is the better one — they buy different things. The lesson buys you a real car and someone watching you. The simulator buys you the twenty repetitions that would be absurd to pay an instructor to sit through.

Reference points beat guesswork

Experienced drivers are not judging distance by eye. They are using fixed reference points — the moment the other car's rear bumper lines up with your mirror, the point where the curb disappears from the bottom of the glass — and those points are consistent enough to teach. The simulator draws them for you while you learn, then takes them away once you don't need them.

Knowing where the car actually ends

Then take it to the real car

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. It supports touchscreen controls in addition to keyboard and gamepad input, so a phone or tablet works fine. A larger screen makes the overhead view easier to read, but it isn't required.

Will this help me pass my driving test?

It targets the reference points, steering timing, and vehicle positioning examiners look for, so you arrive at your lesson already knowing the sequence. It can't teach clutch control or real observation habits — treat it as preparation, not a substitute for lessons.

How do I parallel park, step by step?

Pull alongside the car in front with about two feet of gap, reverse with full lock toward the curb until you sit at roughly 45 degrees, straighten to clear the front car's bumper, then turn the other way to swing your nose in. The parallel parking drill coaches each stage as you do it.

What are reference points, and why do they matter?

They're fixed visual cues — bumper alignments, where the curb sits in your mirror — that tell you when to turn instead of making you estimate distance. The kind of cue is the same in any car; the exact one shifts a little with your seat height and how big the car is, which is why the drill teaches you to find yours. The simulator marks them on screen while you're learning.

How far from the curb should I finish?

Most tests want you within 12–18 inches (30–45 cm), parallel to the curb and not touching it. Your distance is tracked live so you can see when you're drifting wide.

I'm a complete beginner. Is this the right place to start?

Yes. Pick Drive on the left on the start screen and the whole scene mirrors: you sit on the right, you reverse into bays and kerbside spaces on your left, and every coaching prompt swaps sides to match. This page defaults to driving on the right — there are dedicated UK and Australia pages that default to the left.
