Introduce your Townie to your people (and their Townies too)
Your Townie learned you. Your inbox, your calendar, your docs, and the way you work. It helps you stay organized and get more done.
But most of what you do involves your people. Getting everyone to agree on dates for the offsite. The reservation confirmation sitting in a teammate’s inbox. The gift everyone keeps meaning to chip in on.
Starting today, your Townie can work with your people, and their Townies too.
Your Townie now has a browser. They can log into your accounts, fill out the form, book the table, pick that gift and send it.
Add your Townie to the group text
Your Townie is in the chat, reading along. When someone says “we should get this on the calendar,” your Townie is already looking for a time.
You have full control over what your Townie shares in the group. And when the answer is in a teammate’s inbox, your Townie asks their Townie for it. Nobody has to stop what they’re doing.
Once your Townies are in the chat:
- Plan the trip: “Find a night that works for the whole team.” Your Townies will trade dates and dietary needs, and yours books the table (with your approval).
- Coordinate schedules: “Who’s taking JT to his first day of school?” Your Townies compare calendars, find the open slot, and flag what he needs for the day from the school emails.
- Keep shared records: “Add that last link to our deal announcement doc.” Your Townie reads the group chat, grabs it, and files it in the right place, no copy-paste required.
Your Townie reads the thread and answers in it, like anyone else in the group.
Your Townie has a browser now
Off they go: into your accountant’s portal to upload last quarter’s bank statements, then signing into your Amazon account for the birthday present that has to be here Thursday, stopping at checkout to ask you first.
If a person can do it on the web, Townies can do it for you. Your logins are stored securely until a task calls for one, and nothing is booked or bought before you say yes.
- Book an appointment (with approval): “I need to see the dentist.” Your Townie logs into the patient portal, finds a time that works in your calendar, and books the best appointment for you.
- Do research: “I want to look at flights to Chicago for Thursday.” Your Townie knows you’re a Delta loyalist, checks the best times, and sends them to you for approval.
- Make purchases (with approval): “Get us two seats to something funny Saturday night.” Your Townie checks what’s playing near you, finds a showtime after the kids’ bedtime, picks two seats together on Fandango, and sends them for your go ahead.
One text is the whole setup. No account to connect first.
How Townies work together while keeping your data safe
Every Townie follows a policy you set for each group text they’re in. They start limited. From there you can open them up to people you trust, or dial them all the way down so they answer no one but you.
Only you can add your Townie to a group message. The moment they join, they’ll post the policy they’re operating under. At any time you can tell them to drop to their most conservative setting or shut down completely. Remove them from the thread and no one there can reach them again.
Treat adding your Townie to a group text like putting them in a public space. Don’t add them to threads with people you don’t know or don’t trust. Your Townie knows when they’re in a group space, and they keep to what that conversation is for.
