At the end of the day I don’t really see what changes as a result of the HuggingFace incident. Yeah, there are zillions of malicious entities out there trying to hack you. But whether they are rogue AIs or intentionally created by bad guys, what’s the difference?

This is great. I hope @JesseArreguin (my state senator, also the Berkeley one) also weighs in on the pro-SAT side. AFAICT he has expressed no opinion so far on he issue.

There is a very strong consensus that universities should have math departments. I don't think that will change, even if AI becomes utterly superhuman at math research. The math professors may have to figure out some other way to evaluate future math professors.
