Exiting the phase of my career where I realize everything is a compiler problem and entering the phase where I realize everything is a dependency management problem.

It was beautiful to see @privatenumbr and @BryanJacobHunte lock tf in and ship our Slack Code integration in <2 weeks.

Vercel Agent now works in @SlackHQ Code, with your app's full production context and zero setup. ▪︎ Connect secrets, env vars, commands, repos ▪︎ Steer the agent as a team ▪︎ Review diffs and ship directly in code channels vercel.com/changelog/verc…

This is why we didn't build anything special for Vercel Agent to talk to Vercel APIs. When you start a new chat in the dashboard, it's literally just a sandbox + Vercel CLI + stock Vercel CLI skills.

This week we read research from a team of academics that ran a software task across 7 agents and 5 models. They found that in domains with a mature CLI ecosystem, agents without MCP baked in completed the task just as reliably and were 5-28x cheaper. Full arXiv paper below

Celebrating small wins is hardwired into "Achieve," our goal-tracking sample app. We wanted the simple act of checking off a task to feel like a celebration. Instead of the standard #Material ripple, we used Styles to drop in a custom, high-contrast completion
