Umami

Introduction

Umami is a web analytics platform that brings traffic, campaigns, visitor behavior, conversions, and revenue together in one place. It gives you a complete picture of how people find and use your website, from their first visit to the outcomes that matter to your business.

These docs cover Umami v3. For the previous version, see the v2 documentation.

Understand your website from end to end#

  • Measure acquisition — See pageviews, visitors, referrers, locations, devices, and real-time activity. Track UTM campaigns, links, and pixels to understand which channels bring people to your site.
  • Analyze behavior — Go beyond pageviews with custom events, journeys, session replays, and heatmaps. Use segments, cohorts, and retention to examine the audiences and patterns behind your metrics.
  • Improve conversion — Define the outcomes you care about with goals, build funnels to find drop-off points, and use attribution to connect conversions to the marketing that influenced them.
  • Connect traffic to revenue — Attach values to events and use the revenue report to see which pages, campaigns, and visitor segments generate the most value.
  • Share and extend your analytics — Create focused dashboards with boards, collaborate through teams, share website statistics, or use the API to build your own reports and integrations.

Privacy without sacrificing insight#

Umami provides these capabilities without cookies, cross-site tracking, or the automatic collection of personal data. You can use the managed cloud service or self-host Umami on your own infrastructure, keeping control over where your analytics data lives.
