Posts must rely on angle, depth, reflection, or alignment that makes the image difficult to interpret at first glance. If the image is simply interesting, funny, or unusual without true visual confusion, it does not belong here. This includes but is not limited to: • Pareidolia (things that “look like” something else). • Memes or joke images. • Side-by-side comparisons. • Rotated images that are clear when viewed properly. • Normal photos with no ambiguity.
2
Be civil
Keep all interactions respectful. Personal attacks, arguing, harassment, trolling etc... are not allowed.
3
No low-effort content
Low-effort submissions include headless photos, AI content, screenshots, overdone memes, photoshopped content, forced-perspective or scale-illusion videos (such as toy cars made to look full-sized), poor-quality images, photos with overlaid text/graphics/emojis, or other content that requires little thought.

Repost and Repost Report Guidelines
We understand not everyone sees every post the first time, but very common, frequently reposted, or recently shared images may be removed at moderator discretion. If you believe something has been reposted in this sub within the past 3 months, please report it and send a modmail with a link to the original post. Do not call out reposts in the comments, as this clutters the discussion.
5
Titles must be clear and accurate
Titles must describe what the image shows in a straightforward and helpful way. Avoid vague, misleading, or joke titles. Users should be able to understand what they’re about to view.
6
No pareidolia (with limited exceptions)
Pareidolia, or images that resemble something else (often faces), is not allowed. Exceptions may be made only if the image clearly involves forced perspective as the primary effect.
7
No political content
Political posts, comments or discussions are not allowed, as they tend to derail into arguments.
8
Suspicious account activity
Posts and comments will be removed when coming from accounts with low karma, very recent registration (account age) or suspected of being bots.
9
No Pornographic / Explicit Content
Posts that are mildly suggestive can be fine if they genuinely fit the confusing perspective concept, but anything that leans too far into sexual or graphic territory will be removed.
Moderators reserve the right to determine what is considered excessive or inappropriate.
