First make it work. Then make it good. @OmarchyLinux / @OmarchyMac is going to have great Touch ID support for T1 Macs (and then T2 if I can help it). x.com/0xBOYD/status/…

I got TouchID working on @OmarchyLinux. 👀 T1 chip, 2016-17 TouchBar era. My understanding is that TouchID hasn't been cracked on any Linux distro yet, so an Omarchy first? I don't have a T2 model, and M-series is not supported by Omarchy (yet) so not sure what's next.

16 years of marriage today. Adding in time spent courting, I’ve known my wife longer than I’ve ever not known my wife. Blessed with children. Blessed with health. Blessed with a time of opportunity. Blessed to know “these are the good old days” before they’re gone.

If you’re looking to use Omarchy on an M-series laptop, follow along. I’m a “things are moving fast” believer. But even still, things are moving faster than I can keep track of.

I've got Secure Enclave driver working in Asahi Linux on M-series Macs. Touch ID integration with fprintd & hardware RNG is done, just looking into finishing secure key store impl first so that stuff like full disk encryption can be more secure (so that key never leaves SEP)
