Many websites side by side, each in its own browser

Canvas-browser is an infinite board of live websites. You type a domain, pick a country, and the page opens in a tile as a real browser running in that country. Move the tiles, resize them, put four of them next to each other and watch all four at once. It is free, there is no account, and there is nothing to install.

The sites never reach your own computer, so they cannot read its cookies, storage or fingerprint. They see the remote browser, and that browser is destroyed when you close the tile. How it works, in full.

What people use it for

  • Comparing the same site as different countries are shown it: prices, catalogues, news front pages, search results.
  • Watching several pages that keep changing at once, such as scores, markets or a deployment, without a wall of tabs.
  • Reading across sources: an article in one tile, the paper it cites in the next, the archive in a third.
  • Opening a link nobody wants in their own browser, in a browser that is thrown away afterwards.

Boards

A board is a set of sites and the country each one opens from, opened in one click. The board lives in the link, so sending someone a board sends the layout, not your browsers. The ready-made ones:

  • News front pages in four countries — the same hour reported in the UK, Germany, France and the US. bbc.co.uk, spiegel.de, lemonde.fr, news.ycombinator.com
  • Amazon in three countries — the same shop as the US, the UK and Germany are shown it. amazon.com, amazon.co.uk, amazon.de
  • Stock markets in four countries — the US market map, the London and Frankfurt exchanges, and Hong Kong quotes. finviz.com, londonstockexchange.com, boerse-frankfurt.de, aastocks.com
  • Websites that never changed — four sites still running their original design. berkshirehathaway.com, cameronsworld.net, lingscars.com, arngren.net
  • Netflix in three countries — the catalogue each country is offered, sign-in required. netflix.com, netflix.com, netflix.com

Arranging the tiles

Press t and the tiles lay themselves out in the grid that fits them best, or press 1, 2, 3 or 4 to force that many columns — four sites at 2 is a 2 × 2 filling the window. n adds a site, m maximises the selected tile, f frames everything. The full list of keys is on the how-it-works page.
