A customer ordered a package, the package was heavily secured to make sure there was no damage possible in transit. The customer received the item and said that it was damaged upon delivery. I simply approved the return anyway. They've shipped the item, but the package appears to be lost in transit. eBay says that this is the last day for me to give a refund so but I haven't received the package so I issue a refund anyways or hold off until I possibly get the package delivered? the package was insured and a claim was already submitted for it being damaged in transit

Buyer paid Calculated Shipping Charge $ 125.60 on a $ 148.71 Order. I was surprised they even paid that shipping, but It was an oversized package and shipping from MD - CA . After packing and purchasing the actual eBay discounted shipping label. I wanted to refund the buyer the excess and process a refund request to Buyer as a Shipping Discount of $85.00 I received eBay email at 9:00 AM EST ... Your refund of $85.00 is in process ... Refund ID: 5205522016 I am still waiting for the normal Order # has been refunded email No refund is reflected on Order details. I checked my Seller Hub payments and the Refund ID: 5205522016 is COMPLETED Contacted Customer support and was told eBay systems need 24-48 Hours to update.

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I had an issue deleting an old tracking number that I replaced (the system would let me edit and add the new tracking info but the old one (which I did a package intercept on that never reached the customer) could not be deleted. So now instead of waiting 2 days or so for a payout, I'm waiting 7 (because of a system malfunction that is waiting for ME to get my intercept delivery?) Can anyone tell me if this is a common occurrence or a one off glitch? Either way it seems unjustified ( considering I paid for 2nd day air so that the customer would get his item on time, but still I come up on the short end of it ) Pfffftt

I have been an eBay member since 2003 with 100% positive feedback until this transaction. I'm hoping someone familiar with Payment Dispute Seller Protection can help me understand whether my case was handled correctly. Facts: • Item was sold as a used item with valid tracking. • Buyer received the item. • Buyer attempted to return the item after eBay's return window had expired. • Before responding, I contacted eBay and was told that because the return period had expired, accepting a return was at my discretion. • The buyer then filed a chargeback with their financial institution. • I challenged the dispute and provided documentation. • The bank ultimately ruled in the buyer's favor. • eBay refunded my $20 dispute fee but denied Payment Dispute Seller Protection, stating that because the bank made the decision they could not apply seller protection. My question is not about the bank's decision. I understand that the bank decides chargebacks. My question is: Which eligibility requirement for Payment Dispute Seller Protection made my transaction ineligible? I've asked eBay this several times but have only received responses explaining that the bank made the decision. At this point the buyer has both the item and a full refund. If seller protection does not apply, is there any process for recovering the item? Has anyone had success escalating a similar situation or getting a clear explanation from eBay?

My account dropped to Below Standard with a 6% fee penalty due to order cancellations during a severe family tragedy (the illness and passing of my father). However, my loyal buyers agreed to wait, and I have since successfully completed all of these orders! Every customer is 100% satisfied. Has anyone else experienced a noticeable drop in sales after contacting eBay Customer Service to file a complaint or report a technical issue? I’ve started noticing what appears to be a pattern with my account. On several occasions, I’ve contacted eBay regarding legitimate complaints or technical defects—some of which have had a significant financial impact and resulted in substantial lost sales. What concerns me is that my eBay sales seem to drop significantly for the following 48–72 hours, beginning on the exact day I contact Customer Service and file a complaint. The only exception I’ve consistently noticed seems to be sales from repeat buyers. I understand that sales can fluctuate for many legitimate reason (BUT this has happened 6 for 6 of the last times) and yesterday and today are perfect examples. I’m not claiming that contacting Customer Service is necessarily causing the decline but it could be some rogue employee doing so in programming dept. or whoever has access to that feature. Obliviously eBay's throttles NEW sellers to make sure they build up a reputation but I'm 26 years in with stellar feedback. However, the timing has occurred often enough that I’m concerned and would like to know whether other sellers have experienced something similar. I’m also wondering whether there could be an issue involving search visibility or account-level settings after a seller contacts Customer Service. For example, could something within eBay’s search algorithm (formerly referred to as Cassini), an account setting, or another backend process potentially affect a seller’s visibility following a customer-service interaction? I’m not suggesting that this is happening intentionally; I’m simply trying to understand what could potentially explain the pattern I’m seeing. I’ve also written to eBay Corporate regarding this matter, along with several other concerns. They acknowledged my letter and informed me that they are investigating the issue further. I’m currently waiting for their response.
