StockerMC/README.md

Hey, I'm Aayan! I'm a software engineering student at the University of Waterloo, previously at Shopify on the Payments team.

I've won 10 hackathons and 2 international IEEE contests. Some things I've worked on:

  • Orbis Engine: turns an ordinary video into a 4D scene you can walk around in a browser or in VR
    • Finalist (top 12/350) @ Hack the North 2026, 2nd in the OpenAI track
  • discord.py: contributed features, fixes, and the library-wide typing overhaul
    • Maintained a fork while development was paused
  • Halo: wearable assistant that helps people with vision loss navigate their surroundings
    • 1st place @ IEEE SSCS Arduino Contest 2025
  • Maatchaa (repo): matches Shopify merchants with YouTube creators for product partnerships
    • Finalist (top 12/250) @ Hack the North 2025

Lately I've been looking into ML systems. Reach me on LinkedIn.
