SwipeBright

By: Allison Fellhauer, Lily Chen, Michelle Lei, and Saharah Bains

Introduction

Welcome to SwipeBright! SwipeBright is a web application designed to facilitate student interaction and course discovery in a fun and engaging way. Inspired by popular dating apps like Tinder, SwipeBright allows students to swipe through profiles of other students to discover useful courses or skills they wish to learn or exchange.

Features

  • Profile Swiping: Users can swipe left or right on profiles to indicate their interest in a particular course or skill.
  • Course/Skill Discovery: Students can discover new courses or skills offered by their peers.
  • Matchmaking: When two users swipe right on each other's profiles, they are matched, and they can exchange information about courses or skills they are interested in.
  • User Profiles: Each user has a profile showcasing their courses or skills they offer and those they wish to learn.
  • Chat Functionality: Matched users can chat with each other to discuss further details about the courses or skills they want to exchange.
