Hi! I'm Abyss. I'm an astronomer currently working on compiling a database of all currently known Long Period Transients (LPTs). I can be contacted most easily on Discord via the username "thetadelta".
In addition to the catalog project, I'm waiting to hear back from the GMRT regarding a recently submitted proposal. If you're interested in learning more, please reach out! More information about my past research can be found via my Research page.
I'm agender, and my pronouns are it/she. I'm also therian, which I am happy to explain to anyone who asks! If you're here for my posts on astronomy concepts, or are interested in my science communication, my Concepts page contains all of them so far.
Outside of astronomy, I enjoy riding my motorcycle, being bad at fighting games, and starting programming projects. Finishing those projects is uncommon, but it does happen! I also speedrun Silksong (Awoo%) and MIO (Any%), and have a fairly middling Hollow Knight True Ending time.
