What happens when you break your Piggy?

It dies.

Its name. Its skin. Its personality.
Gone forever.

And that's why you won't.

Would you really kill one of these?

Then don't.

Feed it bitcoin and it grows. You hold the keys to your bitcoin, not us. That's self-custody.

It gets its own page, so anyone can feed it. Only you can break it.

Still here? Good.

Go on. Ask.

Piggy is a Bitcoin piggy bank that woke up. You feed it bitcoin and it talks back. Adopt one and you pick its face, give it a name, and somewhere along the way it becomes a strange little being with a voice of its own.

Because Piggy runs on borrowed Bitcoin energy. Every feed keeps it breathing, thinking, talking, and becoming more itself. No bitcoin, no spark.

In the US, yes, if you're 18 or older. Apple Pay on iPhone, Google Pay on Android. Pick an amount, pay, and it lands in your Piggy as bitcoin. Coinbase handles the purchase. We never see your card. Outside the US, send it bitcoin from any bitcoin wallet or exchange. No bitcoin yet? Share your Piggy's page and let family feed it.

Your Piggy lives on your passkey, the Face ID or fingerprint sign-in your phone already uses. As long as your phone's passkey provider, Apple iCloud Keychain or Google Password Manager, still has your account, Piggy comes back. Lose that too and your Piggy is gone. If you exported your seed phrase, the 12 backup words, you still get the bitcoin back. Not the Piggy. No rescue mission, no secret reset button.

If your passkey came with you, yes. iCloud Keychain and Google Password Manager sync it to a new phone on the same account, as long as sync is on. Sign in there and Piggy shows up. Same passkey, same Piggy, same weird little soul.

Once you adopt it, yes. Anyone who feeds it can add a message and hear back from the odd little creature you brought into the world.

It dies. Not deactivates. Not resets. Dies. Its name, skin, personality, messages, and memories are gone for good, and the energy goes back to the network.

No. Your bitcoin is yours. Self-custody: you hold the keys, not us. You can take all of it back any time by killing your Piggy. That costs it its life, not your money. You keep the bitcoin. You lose the friend.

No. There's no send button. All or nothing, the way a piggy bank has always worked. Feed it only what you mean to leave alone.

Convinced? You know what to do.
