An ongoing security incident has impacted users of the Cosmos EVM module. Cosmos Labs’ security and engineering teams have been proactively responding to this incident. We have advised the Cosmos EVM chains that are in contact with us to request that validators halt their chains.

Please @cosmos, you can ask the validators to vote on active gov proposals such as mintscan.io/cosmos/proposa…. There's not much time left, and we're still far from reaching the quorum @Kiln_finance @Allnodes @everstake_pool @DokiaCapital

After implementing a method to preserve Evmos IBC funds prior to its shutdown, we are now looking to apply the same solution to the UX Chain (umee-1). We have submitted a proposal to the network, you can vote here ping.pub/umee/gov/222 #COSMOS

#EVMOS Distribution Phase 📢 The funds that were recovered from the now-defunct EVMOS network are available for claim at evmos.disperze.network The main assets were converted to $USDC (Noble) to prevent potential exploits involving certain bridged tokens. #COSMOS

#Evmos network shutdown – May 18, 2026 📢 Due to the departure of the core team a year ago, the Evmos network will cease operations entirely on May 18. No security patches, no active maintenance. Continuing the network is no longer safe.
