xtralab has been my daily driver for software development for the past few months. It’s JupyterLab with opinionated defaults and pre-installed extensions for working with coding agents. I use it with Claude Code, Codex, and Pi most of the time. jtpio.github.io/xtralab

Recently I have been working on an opinionated JupyterLab metapackage for coding agents, called xtralab. It's JupyterLab with a set of extra extensions and curated defaults tailored for agentic workflows. If folks are interested, I may do a more in-depth video walkthrough soon!

The upcoming JupyterLab 4.6 release will let users customize the position of the activity bar in the left and right sidebars. Just another way to tweak the interface to your liking! 🛠️
