It was fun getting behind a mic and in front of a camera to record a quick podcast with @stephenrobles yesterday. We talked about third-party apps and Siri AI (a topic that I'm particularly passionate about!). Check it out on Apple Podcasts: podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/wha…

Icon Composer icons take up a ton of space. Foodnoms’ primary icon and seven alts use over 40 MB before compression and thinning.

Oh look, a first-party app with tabs AND an action button, sitting on the same row! I knew this day would come eventually.

Foodnoms has a new custom (mostly vibecoded) search engine, which just went live for everyone today. It replaces an off-the-shelf, cloud-based service. I'm able to optimize the new one in ways that weren't possible before, and I'll be saving a lot of $$$

One more Siri AI Feedback: "Siri onscreen awareness silently filters custom (non-schema) AppEntity types even when they conform to Transferable" From the device logs, this seems intentional, but it feels unnecessarily limiting. The docs do not mention this requirement.
