World Mind Lab
Within the mind lies the entire physical world
News
- Sep 2026: Our Simate team topped the RoboDojo Leaderboard, taking first place!
- Mar 2026: The World Mind Lab is launched at HKUST!
Research Overview
Our lab focuses on Physical World Modeling, with the goal of enabling artificial intelligence (AI) systems to understand and interact with the physical world. We pursue this goal by modeling physical interactions, predicting future dynamics, and developing capable AI agents. Our research integrates embodied AI, generative modeling, and 3D vision, with applications in robotics, world simulation, and 3D reconstruction.
The specific research directions involve the following major areas:
- World Models: 3D world models and multimodal world models across vision, language, tactile, etc.
- Robotics: Vision-language-action (VLA) systems and world action models for robotic control.
- Physical Agent: Agentic perception and execution, and Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI).
