39% of 15-year-olds in the Netherlands don’t achieve a basic level of reading proficiency. The KB and the Leescoalitie (‘Reading Coalition’) call on politicians to strengthen the culture of reading across society.
In 2026, the KB is once again part of Museumnacht Den Haag. Between 19.00 and 00.00, you will get a unique behind-the-scenes look at the national library.
On 23 October, the KB will organise a workshop about textile, poetry and feminism. Participants will make a collective textile artwork with artist Ola Korbańska.
