Installation Instructions

Pick your distribution, version, architecture and Postgres version below to get the commands required to set up the repository, and install and start Postgres. See the Zypp Howto for the extra repositories some packages (like PostGIS) need.

SLES 15 SP6 EOL notice

The Postgres ZYPP repository will drop support for SLES 15 SP6 on November 12th, 2026. This SP has already been EOLed by upstream anyway. Please upgrade at the earliest convenience.

OpenSuSE Leap 16.0 packages are available

The Postgres ZYPP repository supports OpenSuSE Leap 16.0 as of 25 March 2026.

SLES 16.0 packages are available

The Postgres ZYPP repository supports SLES 16.0 as of 9 Nov 2025.

SLES 15 SP7 packages are available

The Postgres ZYPP repository supports SLES 15 SP 7 as of Jun 2025.
