FYI — Wells Tower is not Canadian, but grew up in North Carolina. Just a friendly tip. Hell of a first book, huh.

Thanks. I though he was American too, but his (UK) book jacket says he was born in Vancouver. Presumably this is either wrong, or only an accident of geography, with his parents and upbringing being American. I really liked the book, though.

Yes, I guess he was born in Vancouver (unlike Douglas Coupland, who was born in W. Germany, but raised in Vancouver…) He’s a pretty private person. I have been trying to reach him for a Q&A on my site, The Current Reader, but no dice. Here’s a short interview with Wells in a bar: http://blip.tv/file/3270048
    Keep posting!

Hello, do you accept translated fiction for reviewing?
    Best regards,
    João Cerqueira

I generally buy the books I want to read but occasionally kind publishers send me review copies. I actually have a copy of your other novel, The Tragedy of Fidel Castro, though I haven’t read it yet (a very bad habit of mine!).

    Thank you for reply.

Hi, wanted to check whether you would be interested in reviewing my debut, multicultural novel, Love, Life, and Logic, published by Harvard Square Editions. It’s due out in November 2016 in both paperback and Kindle versions.
    Synopsis: http://harvardsquareeditions.org/portfolio-items/love-life-and-logic/
If you think this might be of interest to you, I can send you a copy of the eGalley (pdf) with my publisher’s press release for more info.
    Best regards,
    Uday Mukerji

Hello 1streading. Love what you do here. And, for many years, which is quite impressive. Are you accepting any offers of free books for a review at the moment? Clovis by Annie Dike on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FPJ3S4ST Thanks in advance for your time.

Thanks for asking. At the moment the books I review are all of my own choice as I’ve found accepting copies can become quite stressful over time and I have enough stress with my actual job! Good luck with your book though.
