Data Recovery Pricing
Learn about our fair and honest pricing and our “no data, no charge” guarantee (not always applicable).
Data Recovery Pricing
Of course you want to know how much your data recovery will cost before you commit.
Pricing is determined by several factors.
But it’s important to know that no company can give you an accurate quote or diagnostic of what is wrong with your drive without seeing the drive first. If you call a data recovery company and they give you a quote and diagnosis without seeing the drive - run!
24 Hour Data will always need your hard drive, SSD, or other storage media in our hands before we quote a price. But once we deliver that quote, we stick to it. We never charge you more than we quoted. You can trust our pricing will be fair and honest every time.
Free Quote for Standard Service
At 24 Hour Data, we guarantee our clients a free quote for standard service.
Our lab specialists use many advanced diagnostic tools to find the best way to repair the storage media and completely recover all the data stored on the device. We do not outsource our services.
Upon diagnosis, an email will be sent containing the cost of the data recovery and a brief explanation of the issue as determined by the engineer. We understand not everyone wants to pay to recover their data. You have that choice, and we won’t pressure you to make a decision.
If you do not want us to proceed with your data recovery, we part ways, and that’s it.
But if you do choose 24 Hour Data to recover your lost data, you will enjoy the security and peace-of-mind of our “no data, no charge” guarantee (not always applicable).
No Data. No Charge.
We have always maintained a “no data, no charge” policy at 24 Hour Data. However, a non-refundable deposit may be required under certain circumstances due to potential difficulties of the recovery. The deposit is applied to the cost of a successful recovery. Deposits are non-refundable no matter the situation.
If our recovery process fails to produce usable data for our clients, the storage media is returned free of cost. Even though we maintain an above-industry-standard success rate, data recovery can never be 100% promised.
Our technicians are specially trained in all types of data recovery and our laboratories have state-of-the art equipment, ensuring the best possible environment for a complete and successful data recovery.
Shipping & Handling
We are pleased to offer return shipping and handling for all successful data recoveries.
We know shipping your device can seem daunting and untrustworthy but 24 Hour Data wants you to know, if you follow our shipping directions, your device will make it to us in the same shape you send it. We cannot be held responsible for shipping damages or lost shipments.
Knowing how to secure your device inside a box is just as important as knowing who you are shipping your device to. When you fill out our Get Started Form, you will receive an emailed response containing the shipping directions.
When the data recovery is complete, we will ship your recovered data to you, free of charge.
If you choose not to move forward with the recovery, return shipping and handling is at the client's expense.
Return Media (a.k.a. destination device)
When you drop off or ship in your data recovery, 24 Hour Data asks that you provide a device to place the recovered data on. The device is of your choosing. Could be a flash drive, an external hard drive, an SSD or any other device. The device capacity needs to have enough memory to store your recovered data on. 24 Hour Data prefers not to place recovered data on a used device as we cannot guarantee the state of that device; however, we will place the data on the device of your choosing.
If you are unable to provide a device to place the recovered data on, one can be purchased for you at a flat rate. This amount will be added to your invoice. The device will not be ordered until the invoice is paid in full. If you choose to let 24 Hour Data purchase your device, the data recovery could take an additional 3 days, depending on where the device is being obtained from.
The drives capacity will depend on the amount of data recovered. An external hard drive with a 1TB capacity is the smallest being purchased. (For example: you provide a 3TB device to recovered data from but only have 700GB of data recovered. The minimal drive capacity would be 1TB).
You are welcome to have a device shipped directly to us. Please send an email to [email protected] with your information, what you are purchasing and who the shipper is, so we know to place the shipped device with your job.
