Funny Sunday Story

Before I begin this post, to my dismay, I have no pictures documenting this event. I wish I did, but it happened so fast, I didn't even think about it.

So Brock and I were attempting to take Sunday naps while our kids played. Well, I was attempting, Brock had successfully slept for about two hours. I was on one couch and Brock was on the other. Just as I dozed off to sleep, this is what I heard.

Sawyer: "Look Dad I went pee. Look Dad, look at it." (I thought he had peed his pants, so I was glad that he was telling him.) "Dad, look I did it, I went pee in the cup." (At this point, I quickly turn over and see Sawyer holding a cup full of pee. The problem is that the more he was trying to wake up Brock, the more tilted the cup was.)

Me: "Brock wake up!!!!"

Brock jerks awake but too late. Pee spills out of the cup directly onto Brock's face.

Me: "Brock, that is pee!"

Brock: Smelling the cup, "GROSS!!!" Runs over to the sink and sprays water all over his face.

It was hilarious people! Really funny. I wish I had a video--I would probably win America's Funniest Home Videos. I could be rich.

Also, side note: I don't know why Sawyer was peeing in a cup, in our house. It must be all the water bottles they have been filling up while at baseball games, so I avoid the port-a-potty.

The Past Year...and a half

Well, where to begin. I haven't posted in forever.
Has anything happened? Yes.
Do I have pictures? Yes.
Will they ever all get posted? Hopefully, but probably not.
So I will summarize our past year and a half.

Got pregnant. Surprise pregnant. Long wait time for vesectomy in California--too long.
Tyler was baptized.
Brock got a new job.
So we moved to Idaho.
Brock was basically gone all summer after we moved-totally missed my friends.
Kids started school.
Had Presli. First girl--very last baby!
Parker turned 6.
Hunter turned 4.
Christmas.
Tyler turned 9.
Sawyer is turning 3 tomorrow.

And there you have it. Our last 18 months in a nutshell. Maybe one of these days, there will be a post on each of those, but for now it will have to do. The pictures are updated however. We had our family pictures done a couple of weeks ago. As usual, I wanted to wait until I had lost some more weight, and didn't look completely pale from my first winter in Idaho, but let's face it, that could be never.

New Posts Overload

So I have been absolutely horrible about updating my blog. I believe I have been in a blog funk, as one of my fellow bloggers called it recently. Well, we have actually had a busy last 6 months, so I have added like 15 new posts updating our lives back from May of this year. It is a lot of pictures and captions, none of which do you have to look at, but I wanted to put it all in so when I print out my blog, there is not a 6 month hole.

He jacked it up

Parker, whose favorite phrase is, "that's jacked up," (thank you Lindsay), really did it today. Yes, he cut the bottom of the chair into little pieces --I wish it had stopped there. No, no, he decided to give his hair a trim. I was mad and so he tried to hide.Image Tried to hide under the trampoline. Not working....

Ahhh yes.... there is his jacked up hair.

I know he is only a boy, but it still made me mad, and it still looks horrible.

First Day of School

This year was a big year of school for my kids. Parker started Kindergarten and Tyler started 2nd grade. They had to start at a new school since we moved to a new house, which was less than a mile awayfrom our old one. They were both very excited, and despite me being very nervous to send Parker, (he will not be 5 until the end of October), he loves it so far.Image

Trip to Vegas

Image I was able to go to Las Vegas for a weekend this past summer, while Brock stayed home with the kids. I spent time with friends, got to see my sister Janeen, spend time at the pool, shopped, saw Beatles Love (amazing), ate great food and shopped some more. Unfortunately, I did not take my camera because it is so large, but I do have pictures of what went on at the house while I was away. Very comforting....

Brock's Birthday

Image We celebrated Brock's 32nd birthday. Wow--he is getting old. I actually came home from Las Vegas on his birthday (I know, what kind of lame wife am I?), so we celebrated it the next day. As you can see he got a spiffy yellow box cake cupcake per his request. I love cupcakes--you can put a candle in every cupcake for all of the kids, and that way they spit in their own cake. Maybe I will do something exciting next year.
