Our Mission

The Asian American Center’s mission is to cultivate a critical understanding of Asian American peoples, cultures, and histories. As one of the academic community engagement centers in the Office of the Provost, the AAC serves students, faculty, and staff at every school and unit at UNC Chapel Hill. We strive to offer events and programs that can serve our entire campus community and connect the campus with the broader public. Events are free and open to the public except for a few every year that are specifically designed for the UNC community or UNC students.
