We got home from St. George this morning
because we decided we didn't want to drive home last night.
I took a long nap and Britt has been studying for a test today.
Also, it's been rainy,
which I don't mind,
but it perhaps doesn't help me feel motivated
to organize baby stuff
or do laundry...
So instead, here are some wordy updates, but mostly photos from this last week:
1st: I had my 34 week OB appt a week ago today, and it went well
Everything is looking good.
Baby Boy's head is down, which is good, and makes sense since I have to run to the rest room every half hour.
He is measuring right on track and continues to be a good mover and shaker in the womb.
Also I recognized some of his movements as hiccups, and he's had them quite a few times.
Britt felt them too the other day. He was excited. It was sweet.
My next appt is one week from today, 36 weeks.
And so begins dilation/effacement/station checks. Yay.
Kinda a double edge sword, while I'm excited about my progress, not so excited about the checking part.
BUT I guess I'd better get used to it since the whole labor/delivery scene is not all about modesty.
It's gonna be good, I'm not too worried, more excited about getting this little guy here!
So Photos:
My sweet YW's Pres brought it by, she said I deserved a treat. I agreed. ;)
It's my policy lately to never pass up a good treat. Especially a chocolately, cupcakey good one.
This is a photo of one of my two bandaid-ed arms after getting the Flu and T-DAP shots
(because they are recommended to pregnant women in this stage of pregnancy, especially the T-DAP, it has the whooping cough vaccination as part of it and since I'm getting it while pregnant it will cover my baby up to 6 months).
I love the pink "Best Friends" snoopy theme of the bandaids. Definitely enhanced the experience.
This photo makes me smile.
Thursday night while I was doing some laundry
(I do actually do stuff around the house, even though I complain about it much of the time)
Britt set up his homework/study station in the hall.
He was trying to find something specific for a Chemistry assignment...
I think he chose this spot because of the outlet in the wall.
We do have better spots for homework,
but I won't question his methods. :)
And finally, here we are, in all our Easter egg hunt glory!
With our matching glasses and accidental matching outfits.
My belly is getting quite large these days, and I hope our little bebe is following suit.
My doctor said that after 35 weeks (which is where I'm at),
if I were to go into labor, they wouldn't give me medication to stop it.
Not that I'm going to try to go into labor early, it was just a cool/reassuring thought.
Easter was a good time.
We got to hang out with family and join in with the Staheli and Cope Easter festivities.
We enjoyed the nice St. George weather and did some hanging out by the pool. I just chilled with my feet in.
Even though it was warm enough outside to get in the pool, the pool itself was a little too chilly to enjoy a dip,
and I thought I should probably stay out of the hot tub.
Maybe in a few months I'll get in and let grandma hold the little guy.
Happy Monday everyone!
