A Post For My Papa

It was my dad's birthday a few days ago, and I want to do a photo tribute to him.
I'm sifting through so many gems.
Here's a taste of a photo ode to Bobbo:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!

I'll have an updated post soon.

Happy Birthday Anni!

Since I'm in the blogging zone,
I thought it appropriate to dedicate a post to my super cool older sista Annaca!
Today was her birthday and she is funnier and smarter and prettier than ever! :)
So I wanted to share some of my favorite things about her and photos of her in honor of her big day:

She is super dependable, helpful and organized!
She came up and helped us move in to our little apartment after we got married, and then after I basically became an invalid during my terrible morning sickness she came up and helped clean and do my laundry and organize a bunch of stuff. It was really nice to have her come.
Image

She is determined and motivating.
She's run like 5 marathons, and keeps on running even though it stinks. :)
And she convinces many of us to join her, even though we know it's a crazy thing to do.
ImageImage

She makes the best faces/sounds when she gets choked up, and isn't ashamed of it.
Image

She's really funny, and always has the wittiest, best comeback.
She whispered something silly and of course my awesome face was captured.
Image

She's a teaser, but she makes you feel loved while she makes fun of you, so it's ok.
And she makes fun sibling photos SO much better, this is one of my faves.
Image

She's a really good dancer.
Check out those moves!
She's basically the life of the party. So smooth.
Image

Annaca is super fun and always down for anything whether it be a baseball game or Disneyland.  She is very handy when it comes to Disney, she knows all the secrets. :)
She also has super fun taste in books. She read to me while I was really sick and kept my spirits up.
ImageImage

She's a great listener and a good friend.
When I lived at home during college, I'd often escape to her house to vent about something silly.
I know I can always vent, cry or laugh about something with Anni without judgement.

She is the best aunt! And she LOVES babies. I'm so excited for our little guy to meet his Aunt Anni!

She's a good wifey. I love this photo.

And the best mom. If there is anyone I try to emulate when it comes to wifehood and motherhood, besides my mom, it's Annaca. She knows what's up, and really seems to have life figured out.

I love you Annaca, thanks for being such a great friend and sister over the years. I hope I can be like you when I grow up. :)

Mustache Madness Baby Shower

A few weeks ago, my two super sweet sisters threw me a baby shower,
and let me tell you, it was off the hook!!
Mustache themed, tasty, wonderful madness!
It was so fun to see friends and family and eat tasty treats and wear mustaches.
Here are some photos of the good times.

Britt and my dad showed up at the end to help finish off some treats and to help transport gifts and help move chairs back, and of course join in the mustache fun!

Thanks a MILLION to Annaca, Ally and my lovely mother for making me feel super special at my super awesome baby shower!! And thanks to Lonette (the best mother-in-law ever), all my sweet grandmas and sweet lady friends that came to share in the love! Can't wait to get this little guy here so he can meet these special ladies in his life! Best baby shower ever!

Rainy Day Photo Post

We got home from St. George this morning
because we decided we didn't want to drive home last night.
I took a long nap and Britt has been studying for a test today.
Also, it's been rainy,
which I don't mind,
but it perhaps doesn't help me feel motivated
to organize baby stuff
or do laundry...

So instead, here are some wordy updates, but mostly photos from this last week:
1st: I had my 34 week OB appt a week ago today, and it went well
Everything is looking good.
Baby Boy's head is down, which is good, and makes sense since I have to run to the rest room every half hour.
He is measuring right on track and continues to be a good mover and shaker in the womb.
Also I recognized some of his movements as hiccups,  and he's had them quite a few times.
Britt felt them too the other day. He was excited. It was sweet.
My next appt is one week from today, 36 weeks.
And so begins dilation/effacement/station checks. Yay.
Kinda a double edge sword, while I'm excited about my progress, not so excited about the checking part.
BUT I guess I'd better get used to it since the whole labor/delivery scene is not all about modesty.
It's gonna be good, I'm not too worried, more excited about getting this little guy here!

So Photos:
This is a photo of a YUMMY cupcake from The Cocoa Bean.
My sweet YW's Pres brought it by, she said I deserved a treat. I agreed. ;)
It's my policy lately to never pass up a good treat. Especially a chocolately, cupcakey good one.

This is a photo of one of my two bandaid-ed arms after getting the Flu and T-DAP shots
(because they are recommended to pregnant women in this stage of pregnancy, especially the T-DAP, it has the whooping cough vaccination as part of it and since I'm getting it while pregnant it will cover my baby up to 6 months).
I love the pink "Best Friends" snoopy theme of the bandaids. Definitely enhanced the experience.

This photo makes me smile.
Thursday night while I was doing some laundry
(I do actually do stuff around the house, even though I complain about it much of the time)
Britt set up his homework/study station in the hall.
He was trying to find something specific for a Chemistry assignment...
I think he chose this spot because of the outlet in the wall.
We do have better spots for homework,
but I won't question his methods. :)

And finally, here we are, in all our Easter egg hunt glory!
With our matching glasses and accidental matching outfits.
My belly is getting quite large these days, and I hope our little bebe is following suit.
My doctor said that after 35 weeks (which is where I'm at),
if I were to go into labor, they wouldn't give me medication to stop it.
Not that I'm going to try to go into labor early, it was just a cool/reassuring thought.

Easter was a good time.
We got to hang out with family and join in with the Staheli and Cope Easter festivities.
We enjoyed the nice St. George weather and did some hanging out by the pool.  I just chilled with my feet in.
Even though it was warm enough outside to get in the pool, the pool itself was a little too chilly to enjoy a dip,
and I thought I should probably stay out of the hot tub.
Maybe in a few months I'll get in and let grandma hold the little guy.
Happy Monday everyone!
