[ the feed clicks on to Feferi, who seems to be somewhere quite windy. there's a glare on the feed from the sunlight as she adjusts it, but it eventually settles on her hand. in between her fingers are two badges: one from Ecruteak, the other from Olivine. they give a small sparkle before she turns the feed back to herself. it's clear now by the Wingull flying around and the sound of crashing waves that she's on the top of the Olivine Lighthouse. ]

I think these badges mean I can "surf", right? I thought it was really weird that all of my water Pokemon wouldn't carry me over the water! I mean, who comes up with this stuff? It's glubbing stupid, if you ask me.

[ a sigh. ] But now that it's over with, where are the best places to go for a swim? There's a port for boats around here, but that's definitely not enough for everyone to get some exercise! I refuse to waste all of this great weather!

[ the video feed clicks on to... nothing. well, it looks like nothing, but in reality it's just underwater! things are looking a bit murky, but once the water clears it's plain to see that there are some Luvdisc swimming around. actually, there's a lot of Luvdisc. like, we're talking 20 Luvdisc here. occasionally, you can see one dart across the screen that's different - instead of the usual pink, it has a golden shine to it.

eventually, the Gear hits air, as does the goggle-wearing girl holding it. she turns the feed to herself and smiles. ] Not having gills kind of sucks, but that won't stop us from taking a swim! The weather is totally awesome for winter!

All of those Luvdisc are mine, by the way. I just couldn't resist catching every one I saw! Aren't they just adorabubble?

[ as if on cue, the golden Luvdisc peeps itself out of the water and gives a chirp. she giggles, accompanied by a blush. ] This one seems to be extra special, so I named him after someone very special to me. That's what human Valentine's is for, right? Doing things for people who are special to you?

Anyway, stop by here and I will give you one of these Luvdisc free of charge! They are all perfectly healthy and strong, and I think they are a good replacement for silly "paper valentines"! Don't you think?

[ the feed clicks on, but not showing Feferi as you were probably expecting! instead, the camera is filled with what looks like a gooey pink blob. it shifts around a bit before letting out a small cry of "Ditto!"

a small gasp can be heard from outside of the pink mass. ] Phaua, just what do you think you're doing? You can't just try and smother everything you see!

[ with a bit of tugging from it's trainer, the Ditto eventually released the Gear and latches onto Feferi's shoulder as a replacement. regardless, she laughs and nuzzles it before reaching for the gear. ] Geez, you need to learn about personal space bubbles!

I guess everyone has already become acquainted with this one! It's very clingy, but also very smart. It got to the Pokegear before I could!

So, what can you guys tell me about the ocean in this place? Is it big? How many shorelines are there? Are there any special Pokemon that live there? As a former sea-dweller, I believe that I have a right to know about these things! 

[ LOCKED TO DAVE STRIDER ]

Hey, you! Your egg is ready for you to take, so you should step out of that silly fire-type fort you have and get it!

[ when the feed clicks on, Feferi can be seen sitting on the edge of an indoor swimming pool... but something seems different about her. a lot seems different, actually: her long hair is a deep black, her skin is now an ashen grey, her eyes are a deep yellow, the smile she has shows her razor sharp teeth, and two fins are settled on either sides of her face. oh, and a set of horns and a tiara are on the top of her head. ]

Can you believe it? I'm finally a troll again! For those of you who didn't believe me before, eat your collapsing and expanding bladder based aquatic vascular systems out! This is the most exciting thing that's happened to me here, by far. I even got some new Pokemon!

[ she twitches her fins a bit before turning the feed to the pool, where an Alomomola, a Frillish, and a Gorebyss are swimming around and playing in the water. ]

I think i'm going to join them. I'll glub with you all later!

[ she adjusts her goggles and sets her Pokegear down, before grabbing her Culling Fork and diving into the water. she won't be coming up for awhile; thank gog for gills! ]


(( ooc: Feferi is now in full blown troll mode. she doesn't have any powers, but those who know her will probably be surprised. ))

[ the video feed clicks on to Feferi, who's sitting in an overnight room in the Pokemon Center. around her are five small blankets, which seem to each be holding something. inspect further, and you'll be able to see...



eggs! once she does a quick passby of the camera, she turns the feed to herself. ]

I finally got the hang of this "breeding" thing! It really wasn't that hard once I figured out how it worked, and now look at all of this! 

All of them are water-type Pokemon eggs, of course. If I recull correctly, there is one Horsea egg, one Surskit egg, one Feebas egg and two Krabby eggs. 

I already have their parents in my care, so you guys can have them! I think i'll sell them for 1000P to begin with, so just let me know if you want one. You should hurry though, since they'll probubbly be hatching soon!

[ Pulling one of her Pokeballs from her belt, she holds it up. ]

Once the evolution is complete, I will of course promptly return it to you, if you're worried about that at all.

No... I’m not worried. It just feels weird sending her off, even if it's just for a few minutes!

[ she's... nuzzling the Pokeball a little. y e a h. ]

[ and she sets her Pokeball into her transferring end of the trade machine. ]

I can understand the sentiment. I would have a hard time doing the same with a few of my own Pokemon. Guile, for example.

[ And as she says her name, an Espeon peeks it's head from her bag as she sets her Pokeball on the other transferring end. ]

At least I’m not the only one! It sure is easy to get attached, especially since Lara was with me since I first got here.

Indeed. Many feel the same, actually. You should see John and Casey. He may be the worst of them all.

[ once both balls have been placed correctly, she turns to the Rose and nods. ] Ready?

[ With a chuckle, she nods. ] Whenever you are, Feferi.

[ when she gets the go-ahead, she grips onto the startup lever. ] Alright, let's do it!

[ Rose quietly waits and watches as the machine works. She's never actually witnessed a trade-activated evolution, and so she's excited to finally have the chance. To have a hand in it is just as exciting as well. ]

[ Feferi's watching all of this as well, with wide fishy eyes that are completely engrossed in what's happening. she doesn't want to miss a second of it!

When the trad is complete and the machine is off, Rthalellarla's Pokeball suddenly bursts open. the Seadra is what comes out of course, but that's not the case for long. it only takes a few seconds for the Pokemon to start glowing brightly. ]

Woah!

[ Rose is a startled by the sudden appearance, but also watches, completely engrossed. ]

Clearly it was quite ready to evolve.

It sure seems like it!

[ and when that glow dies down... that Seadra is now a Kingdra, standing tall and proud. she give a little neigh of delight, and all Feferi can do is smile. ]

My little seahorse is all grown up...!

[ the battle between Feferi and Falkner is intense, to put it mildly. Poor Lara had taken down Noctowl with ease, but was knocked out by Honchkrow with one hit. Karkrab was gone as well, with a collision with Aerial Ace and Metal Claw knocking both out. this was getting serious. ]

Oh, you are just glubbing TERRIBLE! You and your bird puns won't get away with this... let's go, Gl'bgolyb! 

[ she throws her Pokeball, and a very menacing Tentacruel comes out. ]

Use Constrict, then Poison Sting! 

[ the Tentacruel obeys, dishing out a dose of tentacles eightyfold on the bird. it's stung and squeezed, and it looks like it's hurting pretty badly. ]

Tch... we can still fly! Pidgeot, Wing Attack!

[ the bird manages to flap it's wings, sending Gl'bgolyb backwards, but she manages to stay up. ]

Oh, shut your gaping mouth! Come on, we can do this! Finish it off with Water Pulse!

[ with that command, a large blast of water appears from under the Tentacruel to directly hit Pidgeot. it hits the gym wall, and is knocked out.
once her victory is officially called, she runs out onto the battlefield to tacklehug her Poke-lusus. ]

We did it! Gl'bgolyb, you were AWESOME!

II.
[ there is a brand spanking new Zephyr Badge being shoved into the camera's view. obviously, it is being held by a very happy breeder. ]

I can't believe I actually did it! Well, I knew I was going to get it, but still! Did you see how everyone fought? It was EPIC!

So, I finally swam into Violet City the other day. Everything is pretty interesting, it's such a nice place! I think it's the basst part of my travels so far. Cherrygrove was so shrimpy compared to it. [ she giggles. ]

Even though I've decided to breed my Pokemon, I think giving the gym a try wouldn't hurt. If I am going to live in this new world, I think one gym battle would be good to make it offishell! Don't you agree?
Tell me, is the battle tough? Don't leave out a single detail!

Oh, and I also got a job at that prawnsome little cafe!! You know, the one where they dress up as Pokemon? Royalty usually doesn't need to work - or most trolls my age, reely, - but it just looked so cute, I couldn't resist!

[ the video feed clicks on, and Feferi is in the Squirtle dress on the far right, sans blue wig. she looks like she's in a generic Pokemon Center room. ]

Isn't it just the most finominal little dress you've ever seen? I love it already! 

 [ the feed clicks on to Feferi, who is actually quite busy at the moment! her gear is perched against a rock, recording Feferi in the middle of a battle. ]

[ the camera catches the sight of a claw smashing down on the head of a Tentacool, putting it in a daze. she quickly opens her bag and gets a Pokeball, throwing it at the dazed wild Pokemon. when it's inside and wiggling in the shallow water, she crosses her fingers.... until she hears a ping. ]

As you probably already know, the Homestuck canon has an interesting way of telling it's story. Instead of narrating through regular dialogue, all of the characters speak to one another via courier-font chat logs on the Pesterchum/Trollian instant messaging server.

Each character has their own typing quirk, online handle and text colour. Feferi's is fairly simple but can get a bit hard to read; she types in a dark purple, her handle is cuttlefishCuller [CC] and her typing quirks include using )( in place of an h, putting )(yphens before capital -Es to create tridents, adding glubs to convey ----EXCITEMENT!!, smilies )(aving a tiara and goggles 38), using correct syntax and making fis)( puns w)(enever possible!

If you don't want me to use the special text when tagging your character, please let me know in this post and i'll be sure to refrain from it! On the same note, if you don't want tags from Feferi at all you can comment here as well and i'll respect your wishes~
