| ► | Home Hardware's Dale MacPherson Honoured with Industry Achievement Award Home Hardware Stores Limited has announced that Dale MacPherson is the 2025 recipient of the Supply Build Canada Industry Achievement Award, recognizing more than 52 years of leadership and service to Home Hardware and Canada’s home improvement industry. The award honours individuals whose leadership and long-term commitment have strengthened the building supply sector and supported independent businesses nationwide. MacPherson began his career with Home Hardware in 1974 and now serves as Senior Director, Store Operations and Business Development. Over five decades, he has helped guide the organization through major growth, acquisitions, and industry change. Home Hardware congratulates Dale on this well-deserved honour and thanks him for his lasting impact on Dealers and communities across Canada. |

| ► | Castle launches Build & Reno digital magazine Castle Building Centres Group, which has published Contractor Advantage magazine since 1994, has relaunched its publication as Build & Reno, a digital magazine. Castle says it will be “a newly-designed, fully digital, and bilingual home renovation publication.” The publication will feature a “curated blend of expert insights, industry news, product innovations, trend forecasts, and real-world project inspiration designed to help professionals and enthusiasts plan smarter and work more efficiently.” |
| ► | TIMBER MART names new Ontario LBM Procurement Manager TIMBER MART has welcomed a new Ontario LBM procurement manager to their team, Kevin Plett. Mr. Plett will be responsible for negotiating building material programs for the group as well as assisting in the development and organization of TIMBER MART’s flyer program and national buying show. “Kevin will be responsible for managing vendor relationships across the Ontario region and holds nearly 20 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, and vendor relations within the building supply industry, including extensive experience as a key buyer for multi-branch retailers,” says Randy Martin, vice-president of procurement at TIMBER MART. “I am confident that Kevin’s strong leadership background, combined with his years of purchasing experience, negotiation skills, and deep product knowledge, will make him an asset to our organization and look forward to seeing him serve our membership with excellence.” Mr. Plett will be based out of the TIMBER MART’s office in Vaughan, Ont. and report directly to group’s vice-president of procurement, Randy Martin. |
