Sustainable Design

Let’s help out our planet! In the United States, builds consume about 40% of our energy and 70% of electricity. Buildings also emit over one-third of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions, which is more than any other sector in the economy.
This lesson is an overview of sustainable design in the AEC industry and how we can reduce energy usage and consumption of resources. Both Active and Passive systems are presented as well as things we can do as individuals to live more sustainably.

MEP Engineering
