Well school is off to a great start! We've both been back for about 3 weeks now. Crazy how early school is starting! Adam's football team had 2 scrimmages this week and they have their first game on Thursday at Rodriguez! It should be interesting to see who I root for. ;)
This weekend after Adam's Scrimmage we came home, took naps, and watched the BYU game. It was pretty awesome! (For those who don't know, BYU beat Okalhoma 14-13). So it was a happy, fun night in the Wight household. Sunday we went to the State Fair. It was fun seeing Brady watching all the animals and trying to sound like them. Solano County won 1st prize for having the best county display - and I honestly believe it's because they were giving away free Jelly Belly's. We also went through an exact replica of the Whaley House in San Diego. Supposedly it is the most haunted house in America. It had a picture of the old Nauvoo Temple on the wall. The one taken from the Iowa side of the river looking back onto Nauvoo. Totally random to have that in there. Today, Adam got to help my dad put together a shed and do "manly" work. Overall, great weekend. It's just too bad we have to go back to work tomorrow.

Summer
Summer Stuff!
This summer has been hectic. Betsy is working summer school because Adam's district cancelled it, and let me tell you she is happy about that everyday. Her classes should be wrapping up soon.
We are currently homeless living with Betsy's folks, because our wood floors have been refinished. That means everything in the house had to be packed up just like we were going to move ... honestly, what a pain. However, the floors look almost brand new and we are pretty happy. Now its onto painting, baseboards, and if we aren't broke by then, maybe some molding ... but we'll probably be broke. Bought a new fridge, dining room table, and got the old Bulldog a teeth cleaning...
Betsy and I also discovered Facebook this summer and really like it. So look us up on there if you want.
Now, what everybody is really interested in. Brady is up to over 30 pounds - what a beast. He is becoming more aggressive with people and the dog, so that makes mom and I stress out more. But, he is still adorable and fun to be around. We wrestle on the floor and he gets tickled, and he is really into playing with anything that looks like a stick - plungers, swiffers, brooms, etc. He is still in day care for the summer, and getting a lot of swimming in. He is running now as much as he can ... putting one little chubby leg in front of another. Earlier in the summer he got to go to San Diego, attend Dave's wedding and go to the San Diego Zoo. He loved the animals. He's been to the beach twice already - first time he didn't like it, second he was happy. All new experiences.

Brady is now 1 ... and walking
Yes, we know its been a while since we last blogged, but time has flown. So much has happened since Christmas. Where to start?
Brady turned 1 on April 6, and this past weekend decided that he just wanted to get up and walk all around. Up to this point he had been using his favorite red chair at Mrs. Ileana's, or the shopping cart at home, but now he has figured out he can do it himself. For his birthday family and friends joined us at a park for a relaxing barbque ... hot dogs and hamburgers, and cupcakes. Brady got his very own cupcake, but wasn't too sure he liked the frosting. Brady is learning Spanish words from Mrs. Ileana at day care - his favorties are este, que, and besos. He still says mama and dada, and seems his favorite expression is "I did it" - though we aren't sure if he knows what he means.
Leave it to our school districts to not match up our spring breaks - break week became to-do lists for both of us. On the sole weekend we had together the family traveled to Monterey to see the aquarium, and visit with Aunt Linda and Uncle Randy. We even took Brady to Dennis the Menace park, one of Adam's favorite childhood places. Brady liked the fish when we could get close enough, but the crowds made it hard to get around.
Work is fine for the both of us - Adam has taken on a student teacher and is subbing in the front office. Betsy is busy with the normal life of a special ed teacher.
Future plans include a trip to San Diego for Dave Herrick's wedding in June, Adam teaching summer school, and mommy and me swim lessons for Betsy and Brady.
Love to all.

Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas to All!
We are very lucky to be able to spend our christmas with our family and friends. Brady got to see Grandma and Grandpa Wight on Christmas Eve, and Grandma and Grandpa Hall on Christmas Day, along with his many cousins.
I've just figured out how to upload video to this site, so check out the video posts below. More to follow.
