Addicks & Kreye was founded in 1908 by Gustav Addicks and Georg Kreye senior, with the measurement of maritime goods and cargo control forming the core business. The company quickly developed into an important player in the Bremen ports and, at the same time, expanded its involvement in the international tally business.
In addition, Addicks & Kreye’s range of services also includes national container logistics by truck and rail, including all associated services that accompany the actual transport.
At the Bremerhaven location, in addition to the repair and maintenance of containers, our container service team also offers trading in these. In addition, the handling of goods and the loading and unloading of containers are carried out there.

Business Segments
Container Logistics
Whether between sea terminals and depots or across Germany, we deliver your containers safely to their destination. In addition to transport, we also handle all accompanying services upon request, from submission to the CPA and customs and veterinary clearance to T1 creation and change of custodian.
Container Service
Across more than 25,000 m², we offer comprehensive depot services for overseas containers: from expert inspection, maintenance, and repair to secure interim storage, also with power supply upon request. SOLAS weighings, including official weighing certificates, are also part of our service portfolio.
Tally Service
Our experienced tally team operates in the North German seaports, specializing in professional cargo measurement. Furthermore, we ensure the reliable handling of Ro/Ro vessels and all preparatory export measures, including the creation of shipping documents.
High & Heavy Logistics
With a modern fleet, including powerful three-axle tractors and suitable semi-trailers and low-loaders, we bring even bulky and overweight goods to their destination reliably and safely. From route planning to obtaining all permits and coordination with authorities: We take care of everything, reliably from a single source.
Cargo Center
In our Cargo Center, we reliably handle all types of goods, both import and export loads are professionally processed. We take over the unloading of import containers as well as the safe packaging and professional stowage of export goods in containers or on flats. We also have an open customs warehouse and are AEO certified.
Truck & Trailer Service
At our locations in Bremerhaven and Hamburg, we take care of the professional maintenance and repair of our company’s own container chassis. Minor repairs to our tractors are also part of the daily service. For maximum operational readiness in an emergency, our workshops are equipped with mobile service vehicles.
CO2-neutral transports with our e-truck fleet
Would you like to make the pre- and/or post-carriage of your overseas containers emission-free in order to reduce your company’s CO2 footprint? Our five fully electric trucks offer a range of approximately 300 kilometers.
