ADVANCE at WSU
ADVANCE at WSU continues to adhere to the core mission set under NSF funding focused on institutional transformation toward a more inclusive and faculty-friendly environment that supports the recruitment, retention, and advancement of all WSU faculty. Additionally, we remain interested in the experiences of women faculty in traditional Science, Technology, Engineering, Math, and Medicine (STEMM) disciplines as well as historically underrepresented faculty.
We are enthusiastic about our core programs, including our funding opportunities. We continue to offering the External Mentor Program, Transitions Grant, Travel Assistance Grant, and the Leadership Training Program (now entitled the Pathways Program). Those who have previously participated in the External Mentor opportunity are also eligible for the External Mentor Pilot Extension Program. As in the past, ADVANCE at WSU is making the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD) resources available to the WSU community, funding participation in impactful professional development programs through the Pathways Program. We will continue to bring new trainings and workshops to campus through our ties to NCFDD and other national organizations.
