So, the apartment above us has been vacant since last June. Can you believe no one wants to live above a cute baby like me?? Every time people come to check it out, I always make sure they hear me screaming, "Hey...you...Guys!!!! Come live above me and we'll be friends!" Well no dice so far; maybe they don't speak Baby.
So in case you know any cool people that might want to move in, let me tell you a bit about my hood. It's called the "Outer Sunset" district. Mommy takes me on lots of walks and I get to see all kinds of interesting houses. Some are bright colors, others have dinosaurs glued to them, and others well...just take a look at some of my favorites in my gallery and you'll see what I mean. Viva la Sunset!
We live one block from Irving Street which is where all of the shopping is located. Our daily walk usually includes a trip to Andronico's which is our favorite grocery store. Other common stops are the library, coffee-house, pizza parlor, taco shop, hot-dog shop (Daddy just likes their root beer), ATM, Wallgreens, post-office, hard ware store, cupcake place, ice-cream shop, and health food store. Since we go to the same places all of the time we are getting to know some of the owners or people that work there pretty well. The best part is that there is always something new opening. Today we had shaved-ice at the new desert place. MMmmm...
Another one of our favorites is called, "Easy Money." It's a convenience store run by this crazy Polish lady named Renata. She does her hair up in these funny curls and sells all kinds of discounted expired goods in her store. The sign on their store front reads, "If we don't have it-you don't need it!" Anyway, we go in there for odds and ends some days and Renata is always nice to me.
If you like to get your hair or nails did, this is also the place for you. Daddy counted one night on our walk home from Andronico's-there were over 25 salons on one street! Wowzers!
So there you have it.
In other news, Daddy just made reservations for my birthday! We are going to a place called Joshua Tree National Park. I'm sure I'll like it. It's supposed to be a playground full of rocks, needles, snakes and other things babies like. Yay!!!
