AGCO is exploring how modern technology can solve real problems in agriculture and help our nation's farmers be more innovative and productive through The AGCO Accelerator Hackathon on February 2nd and 3rd at NCSA Atrium.
This 24-hour build session on innovation in agriculture, will bring together student tech talent and community engineers, developers, and designers to focus on break-through technology. We have a few, specific challenges in mind.
- Challenge #1: Gamify Combines - Help farmers and combines operators use data to be more efficient in the field through gamification
- Challenge #2: Where Do I Farm? - Can you write an algorithm that creates a tillable area map of a field and keeps it updated in real-time?
- Challenge #3: Autotrader for the Ag Industry - Design and build a marketplace where dealers can buy/sell equipment and parts. Mobile first? You decide!
- Challenge #4: Anything Ag Tech! – use your imagination to come up with a solution to solve any challenge facing modern agriculture.
Attendees keep all of their own IP, and prizes include Nintendo Switches, Bose headphones, and iPads and we'll also have multiple drawings throughout the event for other goodies!
