Rooted in family, community, and agriculture

Sean and I grew up on a family farm in Southwest Washington. We raised cows, pigs, and chickens in addition to growing hay and timber. It was the best way to grow up and our grandparents were passionate about sharing the farm with others. We knew there were other families who were just as passionate about sharing their farms and people around the world who wanted to experience agriculture. Still, there was no convenient way to find and experience these farms.

We built AgRooted to make it easy to share and find agriculture-based adventures. AgRooted is the best place to find and book unique agricultural experiences; farm tours, farm stays, wineries, orchards, u-pick, pumpkin patches, Christmas tree farms, it is all here. You can find all of the best local experiences on AgRooted!

Jessica grew up in Southwest Washington on the family farm. She was an active 4-H member who bred and raised market hogs. Jessica holds a Ph.D. in business administration with a focus on agritourism, food, and wine, as well as a Master's degree in Food Science. AgRooted was inspired by Jessica's passion for agriculture, hospitality, and education.

Growing up on a family farm, Sean learned the value of hard work and responsibility at a young age. From taking care of pigs, chickens, and cows to managing the chicken coop and selling eggs at the age of 8, he developed a strong work ethic and a passion for agriculture. He also shared his knowledge and skills with others by conducting historical logging demonstrations with antique equipment at fairs, parades, and on the farm. As he grew older, he continued to be involved in agriculture by raising 4-H Market Hogs for 11 years and serving as the president of his 4-H Club, Crackerjacks, for two years. He also participated in the Youth Efforts Against Hunger (Y.E.A.H.) program, raising hogs for the Clark County Food Bank. Building on his love for agriculture and passion for problem-solving, Sean pursued a Bachelor of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering, which he completed at Washington State University.

Margaret is a 2022 graduate of Washington State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Business Management focusing on food, beverage, and tourism and a minor in Human Resource Management.

With a well rounded background in technology spanning DevOps and IT systems administration, Joshua bridges the gap between digital innovation and the boots on the floor. From his time working in customer service, retail, and hospitality he understands that technology is a valuable tool when it is focused on serving customers. Joshua’s background provides Agrooted with the backdrop to create technological solutions that will provide value to you as a member of our community.
