I can finally post these pictures. These are all the fabrics I bought so I could make my mom a bag for Christmas. There are 32 fabrics here:
These are the rice bags I made for my coworkers for Christmas. We are always cold or have some kind of ailment, so hopefully they'll put them to good use:I organized the fabrics, so I could start planning the layout of the patchwork bag. It turned out that I had a couple duplicates:
Doug and I searched through 1000's of coins to find pennies from each year between 1989-1014. We finally found every year in that range:
I cleaned the pennies in Coke. I was supposed to soak them for 24 hours (but NO longer than that or it would begin to dissolve the pennies!). I only soaked them for 2-3 hours and they were pretty and shiny.
My sister in law, Tammy, makes everyone cards throughout the year. This card was perfect for Doug because of the mustache he's been sportin' for the last month and a half:

I lined up all the pennies and used the 25 years my mom and Glenn have been married to make the 25 and the rest of the pennies below are the other years they've been together:
It looked really boring so I added a few embellishments ... well, I ended up cracking the glass when I tried to put the glass back on. WHOOPS!!! I still need to replace the glass, so I can give it to them. I already showed it to my mom:
