Name: Aibileen Clark Age: 44 Physical Description: Dark skin, dark hair. Stronger than she looks. Brief Bio: Aibileen left school when she was barely a teenager to start working for her first family. When she was in her early 20s, she gave birth to a boy named Treelore, and he was the pride and joy of her life. When he was 21, he was injured badly, and was denied help at a white hospital. She brought her son home, and he died on her couch. She was devastated and tried to kill herself, but her best friend Minny took care of her, nursing her back to help. Eventually she went to work for Miss Leefolt, caring for her two children, cooking, and cleaning. When an aspiring writer named Skeeter asks Aibileen to tell her what it's like to be the help, Aibileen agrees to tell her story anonymously. Suspicion is cast, fingers are pointed and Aibileen is falsely accused of stealing and fired.
