Hi, my name is Aithine. :)

You'll find all of my fanworks on aithine.org. I frequently write with one of my best friends,

veronicaluv—her fic is on the site, too, plus a bunch of other stuff. ~~If you prefer, here's my del.icio.us account with links to all of our fanworks.~~ (On hold until I find an acceptable replacement.)

Newsletters: please feel free to link to any fanworks (fic, fanart, specifically designated meta) I have made a formal announcement post for here and/or announced widely on various fandom-related communities. Please do not link to discussions in this journal that're just me nattering, griping, and whining to friends and neighbors over the fence. (Ask if you're not sure what the difference is between nattering and actual meta.)

I adore feedback of any kind, including concrit, pointing out typos or missing punctuation, or just "hey, I enjoyed this." *vbg* You're welcome to email or leave a comment on the related post, whichever you're most comfortable with. I will reply to all comments I receive, though some months I'm slower than others because of real life. *g*

Screencaps: use them for whatever, don't rehost whole galleries or claim 'em as your own, and a source link would be nice, as that'll help other folks find 'em. :) More info about how I make them is available on the about page of the screencaps site.

Please do not archive or repost my works (fic, podfic, fanart, etc.) elsewhere without permission. Remixing or podficcing is great, just please give credit and link back to the original work. And hey, send me a link, I'd love to see it, read it, or hear it! *vbg* (And add a link to your remix or podfic on my site.)

There are no comms on DW for Miss Sherlock yet? I am Very Disappointed.

Series four of Shetland finished airing in March this year, why has it not been made available yet, dammit?!? *whine*

(Mainlined the first three series this week and I need the latest one right now, dammit!)

I've got a large priority box full of various Entertainment Weekly, Cinescape, TV Guides, US, People, etc., from the 1990s that have X-Files covers or articles/mentioned on the cover that I will send to the first person who wants 'em and contacts me today. Cover postage ($20) and $20 for the 30+ magazines themselves, and you can have 'em. I'd rather not recycle them if someone fannish can enjoy them. (And no, I'm sorry, I don't have time to make a full list of all the issues. I'm moving in two days!)

A: When a company is trying to wiggle out of providing what they're being paid for. >.< (Which would be the advertised unlimited bandwidth and unlimited disk space, natch.)

Dreamhost is objecting to my screencaps site, claiming it's really just a personal backup for my own use.

Uh, not. If it were for my own use, do you honestly think I would spend days uploading the caps for each episode? I'd just use the caps directly from my hard drives, which I—oh hey! imagine that!—already do. *headdesk*

Of course a website I make is for my own use. All websites are, in that they're generally made for the use of the creator or owner in order to share information with other people, whether it's fannish squee or business details. JHC.

So, I'm open for suggestions for better server hosts that won't have a fit with a 270+ GB site with roughly 2GB monthly bandwidth. *sigh*

Yes, I'm still alive, just really busy. I haven't had time to catch up on DW or LJ for ages, but I hope you're all doing well. :)

Still alive, haven't washed downstream. Good vibes and thoughts and prayers would be appreciated, if you're so inclined, mostly for folks being hit by this worse than we are, which is pretty much everyone around me and further north. (I will never again bitch about being in the part of CS that's more sheltered than everywhere else, therefore getting less precipitation than the rest of the region. Okay, we all know I prolly will bitch about it, but not for a while, at any rate. *g*)
